WHY WE LOVE IT

One of the lesser known hot springs in Utah, Saratoga Hot Springs is a hidden gem. This free naturally-occurring hot spring is tucked along the northern banks of picturesque Utah Lake. The more secluded pools sit nestled between tall grasses and have been left mostly untouched.

THINGS TO KNOW

Park at the Inlet park lot and take a short stroll along the paved Jordan River Trail. There will be a turn off to the left onto a dirt trail which will leave to the springs. The first pool you’ll come across is the biggest and most crowded. If you keep wandering along the little footpaths through the grasses, you’ll come across 2 more private pools. All pools have been left in their natural state, with fine gritty mud walls. Different areas have varying temperatures, so make sure to move around a bit to find the warmer spots. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel and something warm to wear on the walk back!

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
WHEN TO GO

Though it’s open all year-round, we love this spot during the winter months! We’ve heard other seasons could be a bit more buggy, so check the conditions before going if you’re visiting during the Spring/Summer months.
